TERMS & CONDITIONS

Birmingham Film Festival 2024 (BFF). Films must have been completed within a year of the submission opening date.

Entry fees are non-refundable even if submission is withdrawn.

Waiver codes are awarded at the discretion of the BFF

 
Microshort film entries must not exceed a running time of 5 minutes. 

 
Short film entries must not exceed a running time of 72 minutes.

All entries must be submitted via FilmFreeway following their procedure.

Custom submissions questions must be answered or you risk not being eligible for the BFF.
All submissions are reviewed by the Committee. Committee decisions are final. Award winners are decided by the Grand Jury members.
The BFF, Committee and grand jury are under no obligation to provide information relating to judging decisions.


Feedback and comments will be provided at the festival’s discretion.

All films must be of standard cinema aspect ratio and resolution.

Failure to provide suitable exhibition copy of your submissions may result in removal from screening schedule.

By agreeing to partake in the BFF, submitters and filmmakers grant the rights to utilise an excerpt from any film submitted for promotional purposes of the festival. The individual or production studio submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorised to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements, rules and regulations.

By submitting to the BFF you declare that you have full right to exhibit the material in a public forum. In any arising copyright dispute, the BFF will not to be held liable and the filmmakers or production company agree to accept such liabilities, if any occur.
 
The submission of any films to the festival means that the filmmakers and/or the production company agree without any reservation to all the rules and regulations of BFF.
